I’ve never been one to consider myself 100% on board with any type of psychic, especially those who seem to look into their crystal ball and ‘somehow’ determine my fate. 

I think that episode of Long Island Medium where she hears the dead calling to her while trying on shoes at Neiman Marcus really buried any real belief in psychics for me. Either that or I knew there was no way that any telepathic abilities could make its way through that much hairspray. 

Psychics I saw in the past always went for the obvious, “You’ll meet someone soon” or, “Your chakras are all out of whack.” I always left thinking, “No shit, Sherlock?” My experiences were always vague and underwhelming to say the least. I felt like they were never able to tell me anything that a fruitful Google search or a few calculated questions couldn’t provide for them.

It wasn’t until one of my best friends told me that she had a call with this woman who read her birth chart that I thought about giving psychics another chance.

The thought of talking to this psychic has been in the back of my mind the past couple of years like some annoying love interest that I couldn’t get rid of. As a few of her predictions came into fruition for my friend, I couldn’t leave it alone anymore–I was itching to talk to this woman.

I think the desire to talk with a psychic comes at certain pivotal points in our lives. Whether you are going through a breakup, starting a new career, or entering a new chapter of your life, there are times when we just need a little bit more guidance than others. For me, this is one of those times.

A couple of years ago, I just wasn’t in a place where I thought I needed any specific guidance or advice. I was ready to just take life as it comes and flow wherever it takes me, whereas now I’m finding myself at a fork in the road where I’m going to have to make some big decisions in my career and personal life within the next couple of years.

So, I gave this woman a call. 

Star charts are a pretty taboo subject where I’m from, here in South Carolina. I thought I knew all about zodiac signs, but this was a whole new level of understanding. 

By giving her my birthday, birth time, and place and was able to go over my birth chart, which is basically a character chart that discusses all the ins and outs of my personality. She talks about the potentials of your life and asks what you’re mostly interested in learning about. For me, this was career and relationships. 

I knew I identified as a Scorpio, but as it turns out I am actually a double Scorpio. Shocker. She put it the words of, “How you seem is who you are.” She told me a lot of things I already kind of knew about myself, but shed a new light on some of my strengths and weaknesses. 

She was also able to pinpoint a few highs and lows within my life during the past year with very specific relationships, which threw me for a loop. I was able to learn so much about my personality when I’m in a relationship and what kind of partnership my personality would flourish in, which isn’t a very conventional one. As it turns out, the need to feel a strong sense of independence and my rebellious streak will always be an issue for me (shocker). 

After she goes over the inner workings of your personality traits, she moves into what ‘could be’ according to your chart. For example, I wanted to know if there was tension surrounding business and family, as I’d love to have a business of my own while raising a family one day. When I asked about these stressors she said, “Professionally, you have no problems or anything holding you back, except for when working for someone else besides yourself.” LOL. 

She told me that this upcoming year was going to be a good one for me and pinpointed a couple of months that I should look out for certain positive changes.

However, as the planets shift in the next couple of years, I’m going to be faced with a hardship or growing pains surrounding a future business endeavor. She said this could mean I’m learning the inner workings of owning a business or running a team and it’s going to give me quite the struggle for about a year. She said after I make it through that I should be in the clear, but I feel like I should just go ahead and tell my therapist to prepare, ha!

So, do I believe in all of this star chart hoopla? I can’t really say if I can 100% put my faith in every word, however I will say it gave me the exact clarity and guidance that I desperately needed for the upcoming year. It also put a few things in perspective for me, as to why I do the things I do sometimes. ~Double Scorpio problems~

I won’t necessarily know if any of her predictions came true until this Spring, so I’ll update if you’re interested. LMK.
